Replacement of old water meters subject to metrological inspection

Dear owners of apartments in "Santa Marina Holiday Village",

We would like to inform you that according to the Law on Measurements, water meters of water supply systems in residential buildings are subject to mandatory technical (metrological) control. For individual water meters, the mandatory inspection period is every 10 years.

Due to the above and the expiration of the 10-year service life of the water meters, we inform you of the need to replace the existing water meters for cold and hot water in your apartments. The inspection, maintenance and repair of water meters is the duty of every property owner, and it is necessary for him to personally organize the periodic inspection of his water meters in a specialized laboratory.

In order to facilitate this process, the Management Company recommends that the owners replace all old water meters subject to mandatory inspection with new ones that have remote reading.

Installation of water meters with remote reading gives the following advantages:

-        There is no need for a collector's visit, reporting is done remotely, every month, without a collector visiting your property;

-        Fast reporting, regardless of the number of apartments. The system is equally effective for both small villas and large villas with many apartments;

-        Flexibility in the reading process. Due to the fact that all information arrives at the central node and is constantly processed, it is possible to react more efficiently to changes recorded as a result of remote reading;

-        Reducing the human factor to a minimum in the reporting process. Due to the automation of actions (with the help of special software), the probability of errors is minimal.

-        When switching to remote reading, there is no charge for the service of reading readings from water meters in the amount of BGN 3.91 for each reading by a collector.

The management company has purchased the necessary software to process all the data for reading the readings.

The management company fulfills its obligations correctly, paying the monthly invoices for water used by the owners in each villa to the plumbing company, therefore, we also expect you to regularly provide up-to-date readings and pay for the water you use. Thanks to water meters with remote reading, this process will be facilitated both for management company and for all owners.

You will receive monthly information about your water consumption, which avoids accumulating bills for the whole season/year.

The deadline for carrying out a mandatory inspection of old water meters is within 3 months from the moment of receipt of this letter.

Please provide us with the water meter inspection protocol if you decide to perform one.

We are waiting for feedback regarding the actions taken by you to carry out an inspection in a specialized laboratory or replace the old water meters with new ones with remote reading.
